Five jobs that keep a Pakenham yard sorted.

Lawn mowing & edging
Regular cuts on a cycle that suits your lawn, plus line trimming, hard edges and a blow-down so the paths and driveway are left clean. Kikuyu, couch, buffalo, ryegrass. From ~$50/visit.

See garden clean-ups →Mulching & weed control
Fresh mulch on the beds to lock in moisture through the dry Pakenham summer and keep weeds down. Plus spot weeding and path/driveway weed control. Supply and spread or spread your own.
See mulching & weeding →Acreage & slashing
Ride-on mowing and slashing for the larger blocks and lifestyle properties around Pakenham Upper, Nar Nar Goon and Tynong. Fire-season fuel reduction before the CFA Fire Danger Period.

Pakenham’s grass grows fast in the shoulder seasons.
Pakenham sits in a temperate pocket with reliable spring and autumn rain, so the kikuyu and couch lawns laid in the Cardinia Lakes, Lakeside, Heritage Springs and Pakenham East estates can put on serious growth between September and May. Leave it three weeks in October and you are bagging a hay crop. A set fortnightly cycle keeps the cut height right (we never scalp below a third of the leaf), which keeps the lawn thick and crowds out the weeds. We adjust the cycle down over winter so you are not paying for a cut the lawn did not need.
Small estate blocks need a tidy finish, not just a mow.
Most newer Pakenham and Officer blocks are 350 to 600 square metres with the house taking up much of it, so the lawn is small but the edges, the nature strip and the paving are all on show from the street. The difference between a $40 quick mow and a proper service is the edging, the line trim around the clothesline and beds, and the blow-down that gets the clippings off the driveway and footpath. That is what makes the place look cared for, and it is standard on every visit.
Acreage and the bushfire side need the right gear.
North and east of the town centre, toward Pakenham Upper, Nar Nar Goon and Tynong, blocks open out to half-acre, acre and lifestyle holdings. These need a ride-on or a slasher, not a push mower. They also sit in or near the Bushfire Management Overlay, so keeping grass and undergrowth down before the declared Fire Danger Period is part fire-safety, part presentation. We slash paddocks, knock back the long stuff along fence lines, and clear around sheds and assets in line with CFA fuel-reduction guidance.

How much does lawn mowing cost in Pakenham in 2026?
For a standard Pakenham residential block (a 350 to 600 square metre estate yard in Cardinia Lakes, Lakeside or Pakenham East), a regular mow with line trimming, edging and blow-down runs roughly $50 to $75 per visit on a fortnightly cycle. One-off or overgrown first mows are higher, usually $90 to $160, because the grass is long and the clippings need bagging. See the full pricing guide and our lawn mowing prices breakdown.
Do you mow fortnightly or monthly?
Through the Pakenham growing season (roughly September to May) most lawns need a mow every 10 to 14 days, especially the kikuyu and couch lawns common in the newer Cardinia estates. In the cooler months growth slows and a monthly or three-weekly cut is usually enough. We set a cycle that suits your lawn type. More detail on the lawn mowing page.
Are you insured and do you remove green waste?
Yes. We carry public liability insurance and can take the clippings, prunings and green waste away on the day, or mulch it back into the beds where suitable. We follow Cardinia Shire and CFA guidance during the declared Fire Danger Period.
Which suburbs do you cover?
We are Pakenham based and cover Pakenham, Officer, Beaconsfield, Nar Nar Goon, Tynong and Pakenham Upper, plus the surrounding Cardinia Shire townships. See all service areas.
